Steve Jobs
When you think of the word, "apple" do you think of a fruit or a computer?
The first computer I ever worked on was a Macintosh. It was big, bulky yet stylish. I can see Mac's influence everywhere!

Jim Valvano, former NC State basketball coach and award-winning ESPN broadcaster had a simple idea. When he was in a teenage, Valvano wrote his goals on an index card and carried it with him. He lived out every one of those dreams by the time he was 36. Valvano died at the age of 47 in April 1993 after battling cancer for a year.
I cry when I read this. It's full of wit, wisdom, and passion. Enjoy!

Pearl Cleage
"I started thinking about all the women who'd come before me, many of whom have now passed on,"writes Oprah Winfrey(O Magazine, August 2005), "women whose steps created a journey of no boundaries for my generation. I wanted to thank them, celebrate them, and rejoice in their spirit."
The Legends Weekend was born of this fierce revereance. Pearl Cleage (author and playright) crafted this powerful poem and it was read aloud like a prayer:
