EDNA NERONA: Professional Speaker & Teacher

Edna’s virtuosity comes from experience not only as a speaker, but as a speech competitor, musician, and standup comedian. She brings fresh, practical, and effective solutions for managing nerves, infusing humor, and finding inspiration in your unique business and personal stories.

Edna’s drive comes from overcoming adversity and stage fright in school. Her parents encouraged her to pursue a BA in broadcast journalism. After graduating from SDSU, Edna was afraid to be on camera and scrutinized. She felt more comfortable working on her computer and became fascinated with the digital art that was emerging on the web. She taught herself html and Adobe Photoshop. She felt so safe expressing herself in this medium that she became a graphics designer specializing in supercomputing and computational biology.

Edna’s web design ranked in the top 50 web site designs in Genetic Engineering News. In her first 2 years as a professional designer, she worked on over 100 web site projects. After being laid off from corporate, she started her own graphics design business. She noticed one important aspect about her competitors – they gained clients through excellent presentations and public speaking abilities.
